Our Junior Programmes
We are proud to offer a variety of programmes to develop and nurture the next generation of talent.
Apprenticeship Programme
Our UK Apprenticeship Programmes provide valuable opportunities to individuals who are interested in banking and finance and gaining exposure and experience. We seek talented individuals who have either just left school or are considering their next move, who have a genuine desire to develop their career in banking, who can contribute and drive Rabobank towards its goal of being the premier Food, Agribusiness and Energy transition bank. Our apprenticeship opportunities last for a period of 18 months. You will be stretched and challenged but will have the opportunity to get involved in the day-to-day running of our business in a corporate banking environment. This is an invaluable opportunity to find out more about what you are interested in, to learn about banking and finance and how to make a real difference.
We have partnered with dedicated training providers who will work with you and us to gain a qualification. This will involve learning through the job in a practical environment, online virtual classrooms, access to your own learning portal to track your progress and learnings on the skills, experience, knowledge and behaviour you gained over the course of the apprenticeship.
You will need to be numerate, able to think logically, communicate clearly and enjoy problem solving but most importantly be eager and motivated – whatever your current skill set and background, if you are ambitious and share our mission of “growing a better world together” we are committed to helping you succeed.
The Greenhouse Programme

This department is responsible for providing Customer Due Diligence, Transaction Monitoring, First Line Monitoring, Name Screening and Transaction Filtering services Clients in our region, including the UK. Work Experience Programme
In June each year Rabobank UK are pleased to provide a diverse group of students with the opportunity to take part in our work experience programme. To support this, we offer places to students through our partner ‘Leadership Through Sport and Business’ who are a social mobility charity that prepares and supports bright young people from disadvantaged backgrounds into meaningful roles with major firms. We also offer places to candidates who have heard about our programme via this site, or our employees. Places are limited and we cannot always accommodate all applicants as it is an incredibly popular programme.
Our work experience programme is aimed at students in years 12 & 13 at school/college, aged 16-18 years. You will be given the opportunity to spend time with an allocated department as well as attend sessions that focus on developing essential skills for working life in the City, through workshops and presentations.
We Can Be Programme
Rabobank UK is delighted to support and participate in the We Can Be Programme each year. We Can Be helps to empower young women to make informed decisions about their careers.
In a society where young women believe they do not have the same chances in business as their male counterparts, We Can Be aims to boost young women’s confidence in their abilities by equipping them with the tools to consider careers in the City, if they want one and to see the City is not only a viable option, but an exciting one too.
It is a unique programme, where young women visit corporate companies and learn about their work. In the morning they visit our UK office and participate in an interactive and immersive mission. In the afternoon, they join a virtual session from our UK office with a chance to interact with other companies and students, solve a problem, ask questions and make a pledge. After the event, participants also attend a virtual skills development workshop to further prepare them for a future career. The programme is co-ordinated by the Lord Mayor’s Appeal Charity and further details are available via their website.
